Brief introduction of PVC formwork:

Cofreage en PVC is a new type of plastic formwork to substitute plywood/wood formworks. It was created by over 10 years ago under the worldwide hot trend of "replacing wood with plastic". 

It's made of UPVC only, which should be Virgin and Pure.

Compared with traditional plywood/wood formworks, the most important advantage of PVC formwork is that it can be reused for at least 50 times in plain wooden structures, and much more times in metal frames which offer good protection to formwork sheets.

Les tailles les plus courantes de Cofreage en plastique PVC are similar to plywood formworks: 4'x8'x12/15/18mm. And it has the similar applications including wall formwork, slab formwork, column formwork, stair formwork, etc.

Qu'est-ce que l'UPVC ?

UPVC, the full name is Unplasticized Polyvinyl Chloride, is also named Plastic Steel, or PVC-U.  

It is the upgrading of general PVC that removes plasticizers to achieve better engineering properties, so as to retain the rigid chain structure, and increase the strength.

It strictly adheres to the "Three-No-addition" principle: no plasticizers, no heavy metal stabilizers, no calcium carbonate fillers. So it's environmental friendly, corrosion resistant, formaldehyde-free, has excellent UV resistance performance and outdoor ageing resistance

Since 10+ years ago, UPVC has been proved to be the most qualified and the optimal raw material selection for PVC formwork. This is a well-known point in this industry by almost manufacturers.

When a supplier denies this point or misleads you, it implies that he doesn't want to use or has never used qualified UPVC to manufacture PVC formworks. It's like a stainless steel products manufacturer doesn’t know stainless steel.

Physical properties of PVC formwork:

1. Antiflaming, avoid the potential safety hazard

L'UPVC pur étant le seul matériau principal, représentant plus de 95 %, JINGFANG® PVC formwork is anti-flaming without hidden safety hazards. 

2. Waterproof, UV resistant

JINGFANG® PVC formwork is 100% waterproof. So it is durable enough to be used, stored or placed at outdoor environment without the need of any protection, including under the weather of raining, snowy, in Summer, or in Winter.

3. UV Resistant and Ageing Resistant

The raw material "UPVC" has 4 times better outdoor anti-aging performance than general PVC. It accounts for over 95% in the formula, so can guarantee our JINGFANG® PVC formwork to be UV Resistant and Ageing Resistant enough. No need to worry about it being weaken by the sunshine or raining or temperature.

4. High Bending Strength and Elasticity 

JINGFANG® PVC formwork has excellent bending strength. You can curve it freely in your round formwork structure. Even in winter, JINGFANG® PVC formwork maintains its elasticity in bending. Non-fragile.

5. High Temperature Resistant and Freezing-thawing Resistant

JINGFANG® PVC formwork has good resistance against temperature. 

Il ne montre aucun rétrécissement, gonflement, fissuration ou tout signe de déformation sous -25 ℃ à +70 ℃. En fait, il peut contenir 200 + ℃, qui est la température du processus de fabrication.

Comparison between PVC formwork and PVC/WPC foam board

There are huge differences between our product and WPC/PVC foam boards. This is a very important point. So detailed explanations are necessary. 

01. Matières premières et coûts différents.

To save costs, WPC/PVC foam board are manufactured with over 60% or even 80% calcium powder, and much wood powder. Some suppliers even use the recycled PVC. Therefore, WPC/PVC foam board has much lower costs than PVC formwork.

02. Différentes applications.

Les panneaux en mousse WPC/PVC sont principalement utilisés dans des domaines qui n'imposent pas d'exigences strictes en matière de résistance ou de tenue des clous, tels que la publicité, l'ameublement, la décoration, etc. Ils ne sont toutefois pas suffisamment résistants pour être utilisés comme coffrages de chantier.

03. Performances variables des produits.

Compared with PVC formwork, WPC/PVC foam board has lower strength/hardness/nail-holding powder/flexibility. It easily gets cracking when applying to shuttering. Therefore, it is not a formwork material. Don't be misleaded.

04. Différentes machines et procédés de fabrication.

It is impossible to manufacture qualified PVC formwork by the WPC/PVC foam board machines: can't get qualified surface crust, density, and strength.

So, if one supplier manufactures both products by the same machine, then there is no doubt that: their PVC formwork is unqualified. Every field has its master.
